In Small county hall in Vinkovci, representatives of Vukovar-Srijem County, county prefect Damir Dekanić, City of Vinkovci, deputy mayor Josip Romić, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, University of Zagreb vice dean PhD Josip Margaletić and Competence Centre Ltd, Bojan Balog signed Contract and Agreement for continuation of cooperation.
These Contract and Agreement represent the continuation of cooperation with Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology for next 5 generations of Wood technology studies in Vinkovci, which provides opportunities to not only students but also for employees in the wood sector to foster their education.
Damir Dekanić, Vukovar-Srijem County perfect emphasize the need for starting another Forestry studies which arouses great interest from potential students and employers who lack skilled labor, and also added that the former PIK building in the center of Vinkovci will soon open its doors to students.
After completing the Wood technology studies in Vinkovci, students acquire the title of Professional Bachelor – Engineer of Wood Technology and all are trained to work in wood technology companies such as sawmills, furniture factories and ect.
PhD Vjekoslav Živković, vice dean of Forestry and Wood Technology Faculty said that 34 students enrolled first generation and 40 students enrolled in second generation in Wood technology studies in Vinkovci which shows that there is huge interest for such studies. He also expect that third generation fully enroll the Studies.
