Today we present 4th out of 5 videos of South-East Europe HUB best practices: project MyForester which was implemented by Slovenian Forestry Institute. Within the project, a transparent and objective online information system for assessing the suitability of contractors performing one or more forestry services in Slovenia is developed.
The main objective of the project was to improve the competitiveness of forest-based sector regarding quality of operators’ evaluation. The benefits of the web platform are connecting all actors through wood chain and transparent collection of all forestry service providers.
With this project, goal was to contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the Slovenian forestry sector by developing and implementing a transparent system for assessing the quality of forestry contractors.
Experts from Slovenian Forestry Institute and Department of Forestry and Renewable Forest Resources – Biotechnical Faculty contributed to development of web platform.
Project was funded by Slovenian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food (70%) and the Public Research Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (30%).
