Made in Danube project one of finalists in Contest for the best county EU project in the Republic of Croatia

Croatian Association of Counties and European Parliament office in Croatia, together with partners, conduct contest for best county EU project in the Republic of Croatia. Presentation of successful EU projects within this contest aims at highlighting the importance of projects for improving the living conditions of the local community.

Out of 35 applied county projects, 21 projects have been selected as finalists of the contest, and the best project will be selected by citizens through a platform that will be launched in September. Vukovar-Srijem County applied 2 projects: VICtour and Made in Danube – Transnational Cooperation to transform knowledge into marketable products and services for the Danubian sustainable society of tomorrow.

Project Made in Danube – Transnational Cooperation to transform knowledge into marketable products and services for the Danubian sustainable society of tomorrow is chosen as one of the finalists in the category: “Contribution to science and innovation”, project was implemented in 10 Danube countries, Croatia, Germany, Romania, Austria, Hungary, Ukraine, Moldavia, Slovakia, Serbia, Slovenia, from 1st of January 2017. to 30th of June 2019. Coordinator of the project was Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum from Germany, and main goal of the project is improvement of conditions for cooperation between companies, scientific research institutions and public bodies in the field of bioeconomy, based on innovation, through long-term transfer of knowledge, innovation and technology.
