Competence Centre from Vinkovci again among Croatian HORIZON 2020 success stories

Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Education, has published “HORIZON 2020 Success Stories in Croatia” brochure. It is an informational and promotional publication in which the data on participation of Croatian organizations in the most important EU program for financing research and innovation, HORIZON 2020, is presented.

HORIZON 2020 is a centralized European Union research and innovation programme managed by the competent bodies of the European Commission for the period 2014-2020.

Competence Centre Ltd. for Research and Development is again the only institution based in Vukovar-Srijem County in a selected group of Croatian lead partners in successful projects funded by the European Union programme for research and innovation, Horizon 2020.

Competence Centre, as a project partner and the South-East Europe Hub, participate in the implementation of the project ROSEWOOD4.0 – EU Network of Regions On Sustainable Wood Mobilisation ready for Digitalisation, whose implementation began in January 2020, and which represents a continuation of the ROSEWOOD project (2018-2020). The project is funded under Horizon 2020 and aims to effectively transfer knowledge within and between regions using modern tools such as digital platforms, digital training tools, etc. The emphasis of the project is on the digitalization of forestry and wood industry and digital tools (social media, platforms, e-learning) for training and education through which practitioners will share knowledge with much more significant impact.
