Project Cross-border Open innovation Bioeconomy network – GreenCBC, focused on better innovation capacities and competitiveness of small and medium sized enterprises, started with implementation on 1 September 2020.
Project is co-financed by the Interreg IPA Cross-border cooperation Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020. Lead partner is Croatian Chamber of Economy, and partners are Competence Centre Ltd. for research and development from Croatia, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis from Montenegro and Northeast Regional Development Association from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Duration of the project is 24 months (01.09.2020.-31.08.2022.). Total budget is 680,529.23 EUR, 85% of which is co-financed by ERDF and IPA II funds of the European Union.
Aim of the project is to establish a cross-border Open innovation Bioeconomy network (GreenCBC Network), in order to improve cooperation between small and medium enterprises, business support institutions, and research and development organisations in Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Project will build a link between industry and science and strengthen capacities of entrepreneurs to apply new technologies and innovative solutions in their businesses through brokerage events, educational events, round tables, questionnaires to understand technological needs of small and medium-sized enterprises and business support institutions, and technological offers of research organisations, as well as equip two laboratories to support entrepreneurs in bioeconomy (one in Niksic in Montenegro and one in Vukovar-Srijem County in Croatia).
Project activities will enhance cross-border cooperation between the public, private and research sectors, all with the purpose to share knowledge, experience, and competences for better innovation action, increase of competitiveness and development of business environment in programme area.
