LOVAS, 18.06.2020.– Local Action Group in cooperation with Vukovar-Srijem County, Development Agency of Vukovar-Srijem County, Development Agency TINTL and Municipality of Lovas organized on June 18, 3rd Forum of Local Action Groups of Vukovar-Srijem County entitled “Present and Future of Community-Based Local Development”.
In addition to organisers, Forum brought together representatives of county development stakeholders, LAGs from our county, but also guest LAGs. Competence Centre’s projects and activities were presented by Ana Bošković, Deputy Director, where she touched upon all our activities aimed at strengthening innovation potential of Vukovar-Srijem County as well as key projects in which Competence Centre is involved.
Vukovar-Srijem County strategic project Wood Technology Centre Slavonian Oak was presented, which represents future innovation infrastructure equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for the needs of our wood sector along the value chain of forestry and wood sector; ROSEWOOD and ROSEWOOD4.0 projects which established Network of Regions as a platform for exchange of experience, best practices and knowledge transfer, all with the aim of sustainable wood mobilisation across forestry and wood sector value chains. Furthermore, she announced starting of GreenCBC and centrikomNET projects aimed at strengthening of capacities of border areas through creation of networks and competence centres, as well as at strengthening cooperation between scientific sector and business. Also, project “Development and implementation of professional practice at the Faculty of Forestry” was presented, in which Competence Centre Ltd. and Slavonian Oak Wood Cluster act as link between the Faculty and companies where students will conduct professional practice and practical studies. Finally, starting of dislocated Wood Technology Study in Vinkovci, organised by Faculty of Forestry in cooperation with Vukovar-Srijem County, City of Vinkovci and Competence Centre Ltd. was announced.
