Project MADE IN DANUBE approved



Among the selected 54 projects within the Interreg DTP program is the project MADE IN DANUBE - Transnational cooperation aimed at transforming knowledge into the marketable products and services for Sustainable Danube Society.



VINKOVCI, 12/23/2016. - A list of approved projects has been published as part of the first Call for the INTERREG Danube Transnational Cooperation Program. Among the selected projects, there is a project MADE IN DANUBE - Transnational co-operation with the aim of transforming knowledge into marketable products and services for a sustainable Danube region Society aimed at improving the conditions for innovation, where the Development agency HRAST is a partner.



One of the major territorial challenges of the Danube region is to improve the innovation capability of small and medium-sized enterprises in the region, particularly in a biochemistry that has the economic potential to affect a wide range of industries and services, as well as the sustainability of society. The development of new products and innovative services of companies in the Danube region, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, requires access to scientific and applied scientific research in combination with innovation. Collaboration between research organizations and companies is crucial. The project will improve the conditions for this co-operation in order to transform ideas into products and services in a way that local scientific knowledge will be available at a transnational level in the field of bio-economics. Within the project implementation three pilot projects will be implemented: smart agriculture, bioenergy and sustainable forestry as priorities for the Danube region. A pilot project for sustainable forestry will be implemented in the area of Vukovar-Srijem County.

The total value of the project is € 1,786,175.00, and the Agency's HRAST budget is € 125,650.00
The implementation of the project will start on 1 January 2017.
